The Environmental Unit is part of the Environmental and Community Planning Administration. The Environmental Unit consists of 4 employees, and the entire administration consists of a total of 19 employees, including other units such as streets/parks, building permits, GIS, and planning.

The Environmental and Community Planning Administration is now looking for an engaged Environmental and Public Health Inspector who wants to become part of the team. In the role of Environmental and Public Health Inspector, you will have a fun and varied job with significant personal responsibility within your areas of work. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the operations both within the Environmental Unit's working group and within the administration.

With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in several areas. A large part of the position involves environmental protection supervision and contaminated sites. In addition to supervision and case processing, the role also includes providing information and advice to businesses and the general public, as well as statements to other authorities. Your tasks will be shaped based on your and the working group's joint competence.

Qualifications

You should:

• Have a university education in the environmental field, e.g., environmental and public health or food, environmental scientist, geoscientist, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Have good knowledge of relevant legislation.
• Hold a B driving license.
• Be able to express yourself well in speech and writing.
• Have good computer skills.

We would like you to:

• Be outgoing, flexible, and service-oriented.
• Have experience with the case management system Castor is an advantage.
• Have good initiative, be easy to collaborate with, and be good at communicating.

It is meritorious if you have experience with supervision within the Environmental Code/food legislation. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment Terms

Type of Employment: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, Start Date: Start 1st September or according to agreement.

The position is filled on the condition that it does not need to be taken by already employed staff or that the conditions for the recruitment change.
